Scholarship and Financial Aid

The Riverdale Children’s Theatre believes that no child or family should be denied access to our program due to financial need or hardship. Please do not let it be a barrier to your child’s enrollment. Click on the link below and fill out the applications.  Despite our small financial footprint, we have awarded over $500,000 in scholarships since our inception in 2010. We are able to do this thanks to our annual fundraising efforts and the continuing generosity of our families and donors who believe in our mission and the importance of diversity. If you do not qualify due to family assets but are going through a difficult time  ( loss of job, family illness, etc) we can also defer payments until you get back on your feet.

TO APPLY:

Please click the link for the Scholarship below. Answer all questions and upload your most recent tax return. There are a limited number of scholarships available each year and they are allocated based on need. The Scholarship Committee considers referrals and feedback from guidance counselors, teachers, community leaders and parents in addition to an application and audition (when applicable). If it is determined that you do not qualify for a scholarship a payment plan may be offered.  Consideration for scholarship is dependent on a completed application with tax return of both parents (where applicable), as well as a zero balance from past programs.  Financial information from both biological/adoptive parents is required regardless of their legal status, marital status, or divorce agreement. Any legal arrangements or commitments to the contrary are the responsibility of the parents to negotiate between themselves.
